Thanksgiving is here, and all of us at the AtHome blog hope you are spending it with family, friends and loved ones. Have a wonderful celebration of the most American holiday!
Of course, besides meaning food, family and friends, Thanksgiving also means travel for millions of us. Bobbi talked about how FiOS Widgets can help make your trip go smoother in our Widget Wednesday post earlier.
But if you're a Verizon broadband customer waiting for a train or a plane or maybe taking a travel break in a coffee shop, don't forget that you can stay in touch by using more than 14,000 free Verizon Wi-Fi hot spot locations at airports, cafes, restaurants and bookstores. Check www.verizon.net/hotspots to find locations on your travel route. And if - heaven forbid - you're stuck traveling this weekend, Verizon's WiFi hotspots are most likely available while you wait.
The Wi-Fi service is available free of charge for existing Verizon FiOS customers with up-to-20 Mbps or faster package; new FiOS Internet customers with an up-to- 25 Mbps or faster connection; and new or existing Verizon High Speed Internet customers who have an up-to-3 Mbps or higher service.
Qualifying Verizon broadband customers can log on to www.verizon.net and use their Verizon username and password to download software for free Wi-Fi access at the Verizon hotspots.
While we can't guarantee you stress free travel, Verizon can help make your unexpected delay a bit more tolerable with our free Wi-Fi service.
Safe travels to you all, and Happy Thanksgiving.
