After a vacation in Aruba and a week off from “What To Watch,” I’m back to talk TV once again. While I’m catching up on all the shows I missed, currently on my DVR, we have a lot to look forward to this week, including an exhausting sports weekend and Independence Day. Here's a look at a selection of TV shows and sporting events airing during the coming week.
Friday:
U.S. Olympic Trials – 8 pm on NBC (Swimming, followed by Women’s Gymnastics)
Real Time With Bill Maher – 10 pm on HBO (season finale)
Saturday:
NASCAR: Quaker State 400 – 6:30 pm on TNT
U.S. Olympic Trials – 8 pm on NBC (Swimming followed by Track & Field)
The Firm – 10 pm on NBC
Sunday:
Tour de France – 8 am on NBC Sports Network (the race will air every day for the next 3 weeks)
European Soccer Championship – 2:45 pm on ESPN (Spain vs. Italy)
Shark Wranglers – 10 pm on History Channel (season premiere)
Episodes – 10:30 pm on Showtime (season premiere of Matt LeBlanc’s show, which follows the season premiere of Weeds at 10 pm)
Monday:
Wimbledon – 9 am on NBC (Ladies’ Finals)
The Bachelorette – 8 pm on ABC (it’s time for home town visits!)
Independence Day – 8 pm on AMC (airs at 8 pm & 11 pm Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday)
Cake Boss – 9 pm on TLC
Tuesday:
Wimbledon – 9 am on NBC (Gentlemen’s Finals)
America’s Got Talent – 9 pm on NBC
Craft Wars – 10 pm on TLC (Tori Spelling’s latest reality show)
Wednesday (Happy 4th!):
Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular – 9 pm on NBC
America’s Lost Treasures – 9 pm on National Geographic Channel

Thursday:
