What to Watch – August 31 – September 6

Television.jpgI can’t believe it’s already Labor Day weekend.  Next week means back to school, and back to some of our favorite TV shows!  In addition to the Democratic National Convention, which starts Tuesday night, a number of shows are starting to return.  Here’s a look at a selection of sporting events and other programs airing on TV during the coming week. 

 

Friday:

America’s Next Top Model – 8 pm on CW

Boss – 9 pm on Starz

Strike Back - 10 pm on Cinemax

 

Saturday:

Dina’s Party – 7:30 pm on HGTV

College Football – 8 pm on ABC (Alabama vs. Michigan)

Doctor Who – 9 pm on BBC America

 

Sunday:

Breaking Bad – 10 pm on AMC (mid-season finale)

Web Therapy – 10:30 pm on Showtime

 

Monday:

Switched at Birth – 8 pm on ABC Family (season premiere)

Hotel Hell – 8 pm on FOX (season finale)

Coma – 9 pm on A&E (Part 1 of the miniseries)

American Chopper: Senior vs. Junior – 9 pm on Discovery 

 

Tuesday:

Flipping Out – 9 pm on Bravo (season premiere)

Coma – 9 pm on A&E (Part 2)

Hard Knocks – 10 pm on HBO (season finale)

 

Wednesday:

NFL Football: Kickoff Special – 7:30 pm on NBC (Cowboys vs. Giants)

Ghost Hunters – 9 pm on SYFY

Restaurant Stakeout – 10 pm on Food Network 

 

Thursday:

MTV Music Video Awards – 8 pm on MTV

Rookie Blue – 9 pm on ABC (season finale)

Texas Car Wars – 10 pm on Discovery

 

One more note: With only one month to go before Homeland returns to Showtime, FiOS TV customers can catch up on season one on FiOS TV Video on Demand.  Season 2 begins Sept. 30.
