I have been having similar problems deleting emails - either they don't delete or the wrong ones are deleted. Frequently, after selecting ones for deletion, the message comes up saying "please select at least one message for deletion". At that point, the only option is to check "OK", which brings you back to the inbox list with no messages deleted. I have tried to delete within the message, but that, too, does not work. Also, when deletes finally do work, they do not go to the trash can; they simply disappear. And strangely, I have had specific category emails disappear without initiating any action - for instance, several emails providing me with tracking info for items I have purchased have disappeared.
I use Norton Anti-virus/Internet security programs.
Additionally, it appears my whole email format is hosed. The chronological order quite often is scrambled.
I've lost too many emails that I have needed for reference or to respond to continue with this problem. If not fixed soon, I will be forced to migrate to another ISP.

We have had this issue come and go. The only solution we have found is that you cannot select more than 2 messages at a time.

I also am now having the same problem that you have to check the individual emails 2-4 times and they must be shown or they don't surely delete even though it says it does. I'm using Firefox 18, on a Dell Inspiron 1545 64 bit 3 GB 320 GB Windows 7 Home Premium. It happens when I come on first which there are no cookies to delete. It also happens later on coming back to the Webmail. So, if you're an employee-you should know the fix for it. It also happens on my 32 bit Windows Vista both service packs loaded Compaq Presario 5410 3 GB 320 GB. So what is the fix for this?
