RFC 5746 support

Gentlemen:

Thunderbird 13.0.1 reports "incoming.verizon.net : server does not support RFC 5746, see CVE-2009-3555".  When if ever do you plan to add support for this important security mechanism? This standard has been in effect since February of 2010. Your comments please.

these are peer to peer forums, so I am not sure you will get an official response from Verizon, but Verizon's security answer is using SSL If your asking about 5746 incorporated into the ssl stack, then i am not sure who would be able to answer that.

Re: RFC 5746 support

Possibly you are not using the right ports.  465 for outgoing 995 for incoming.  If you try going to 25 or 587 I think you get that message.
