It seems that Verizon changed something in the past month and now I can't open my email from my desk at work. Something in the new webmail system is causing my LAN system at work to block it (thinks it's a virus, spam, etc.).
I have checked the pop up blocker settings and it is not being blocked but SOMETHING is blocking it.
I can get to the Verizon log in page - and log in. I can see new email titles in the account status page but when I click to open them it just sits there - never opens - no error messages or warnings of any kind and the little status icon continues spinning.
I can't get into the webmail page directly at all.
What could be causing this and how do I fix it?

I'm having a very similar issue. I'm on a PC at work using Internet Explorer 9, and when I log in I can see my messages, and can actually view them, but as soon as I attempt any kind of action, like a "Delete" or "Mark as Spam," I get a message that the action cannot be completed, and the entire mailbox disappears. The only way I can get it back is to relog. I've tried different browsers, but this doesn't seem to help. I don't have these issue at home, where I'm using Safari on a Mac.
Just wanted to let you know that you're not alone. Hope someone smarter than me will weigh in with a suggestion.
