I am also using Windows Live Mail and have no problems sending emails with pictures, so it can/should work. I am wondering if the following setting might be affecting you:

Do you have the "Send pictures with messages" option checked? And do you get any error message when you try to send an email with a picture?

Actually ... a better question is ... how BIG are the pictures.   Right click on a picture and tell us the size and give us an idea of how many pictures you might be trying to put in a message.

You could very easily be creating and extremely HUGE outbound message that simply will not go out via email.   Pictures off todays high mega-pixel cameras shot at full resolution can easily be hundreds of megabytes.    There are ways to scale these down in resolution for more suitable consumption online (let's see what size you're dealing with first) or you can use one of many free photo sharing websites which do this reduction and upload for you (and your recipients are much happier as well since you don't clog their mailbox with huge attachments).

As always, Lasagna may very well be right, he usually is. Smiley Very Happy

But I just did a test, and was (pleasantly) surprised by the results: I created an email, attached 16.9 MB worth of pictures, and sent it. And it was sent ok and received ok on another Verizon email address I have! No errors of any kind. In the past when I have tried to send emails over about 8 MB they have been rejected with an error message on send, or if there is not that much space available in the addressee's mailbox I get an error back from that.

I guess my point is that sending an email almost 17 MB in size did not result in any error at all. So it seems to me that if what the OP is experiencing is that the message is never sent at all (stays in the Outbox and I guess no error message is received), the problem is something else.

Anybody have any thoughts? And I wish the OP would come back and tell us more.

Edit: I just changed the setting that I pointed to in my first response and sent an email with a picture attached and it went just fine. So that is not the problem.

Is it possible this person is just new to Windows Live Mail and doesn't know to click on the 'SYNC" button, or set it up to automatically send? Maybe the issue isn't regarding attachments.
