I know that unlimited mobile e-mail is a feature of the premium plan, but if mobile e-mail is downloaded, do you still pay the $5/month subscription or is that also covered as part of the premium plan?
Also, how does mobile e-mail differ from mobile web e-mail that can be accessed through the browser??

That is included in your Premium plan, there is no additional $5 charge--it's ther for those who do NOT have Premium or Connect service but still want to use the Mobile Email service.
Also, how does mobile e-mail differ from mobile web e-mail that can be accessed through the browser?? I'm not sure of the specific differences, but to access email through your browser, you need to have a data plan, or pay by the MB for the data usage when access your email. With Mobile Email, you pay the $5 a month and can access your email without accruing data charges or using the plan allotment. How that's done "technically", I don't know, and if I've got this wrong, someone who really knows what they are talking about should jump in and correct me!!!!

Thanks, Suzy. Guess I'm still not clear on what/if the advantages are of downloading the mobile e-mail on a plan that includes unlimited e-mail and data. If I can still access the e-mails through the browser and aren't being charged for data transfer, any reason for me to download mobile e-mail?
Great to know that I won't be charged if I do, just wondering if it's easier/more advantageous to e-mail through mobile e-mail?

Mobile email is included with both the Connect and Premium plan. Without a data plan you are charged MB's for accessing mobile email. Mobile email really just makes it easier to check your email, also you can set it up so you can get alerts when you receive a new email. Instead opening a website and going your email, and logging in, with mobile email you just click it and it will bring you right to your inbox.

So it's basically a shortcut to your email accoutn inbox? How many accounts can you have with Mobile Email? And I think I've read somewhere that it doesn't do attachments, likely due to the limitations of the phone being able to handle documents. Guess if you want REAL email with attachments, it's time to upgrade to a BB!

Yeah it is kind of like a short cut. It doesn't bring you to a webpage with your inbox, your inbox is contained within the application. I'm not sure how many emails you can have with it. I had two gmail accounts linked to it. It differs from BB in terms of the push/pull. BB sends the email directly to your phone, where as mobile pulls message from your email to the application. I had it for awhile but I don't remember if I ever tried to open any attachments other than a picture, I would think many attachments would fail though.

Thanks for the information, Sadie. I'm considering upgrading my plan from the Select to Connect for my line, and it includes Mobile Email, which I would use for sure....so any information I can glean before I make the jump is appreciated!
