Here is an update to my post above...

I never lost WiFi Connection with WMM disabled in QoS Setup of the Netgear 3700 router but video and audio streaming suffered badly with this condition.  Streaming was very unsatisfactory.  So, for me, disabling WMM is not an option.

I tried the Airplane Fix and that did not work.

I am still searching for a fix to the DroidX's WiFi Connection issue.

I've lowered my 2.4ghz band from 130mbps to 54mbps to see what effect that has.  Anyone have any experience with this change?

I too have the same issue. After beating my head against the wall and resetting everything I did two things for the WNDR3700. I set the net adapter on my computer to only receive 5GHZ N signal. Next I changed the channel setting in 2.5 Ghz to channel 5 instead of auto. It seems stable now. Not very happy with my router or Netgear though, it still shows not devices attached-there are 3?? 😛

Leave WMM on in 2.5 GHz or you will lose speed. set basic setting on router to channel 5 instead of auto. Netgear 3700 Dual band, had to set net adapter on desktop to 5 GHz N only?? Worked for me. Think Dual Band is the issue, crappy router.
