I understand that att.net offers its subscribers IMAP e-mail; why can't verizon.net do the same? POP3 is not where it's at anymore.
So I just go the word that MSN Premium will stop being my ISP portal for my verizon/MSN email accounts, unless I pay more for MSN Premium.
I suppose this is because Verizon wants the ad space/revenue. The only thing is when I went to log on, I get an error message that is not decipherable (may be user/password error, but who can tell????)
BRING BACK MY MSN for FREE. I pay enough for the service that I do not deserve to be nickled and dimed like this.
BAD IDEA. The $2 fee to pay your bill didn't work, so let's try this!!!
Do you want to keep your MSN too? Let's hear it!

Simplify access to email please. Now it takes too many clicks. This is too time consuming and makes me want to start looking for another service.
Unless I missed something and I have searched for a way to resolve it, it is really a PAIN when logged on and typing replies, all of sudden the session times out and you lose all data.
Why can't an option be provided that when the session is getting ready to time out, you are prompted a warning and asked if you wish to either stay logged in or save your data?
I have sometimes had to put together a reply using Word and then log on and paste it in.
If there is some opion in email to fix this, please advise.
I would like to see the ability to select several emails and click a "filter messages like these" button/option and then have the system auto-detect what those messages have in common to start building an email filter.
Gmail has this available, and it is how I build 99% of my filters there.
For example:
- If I selected five message from sender@domain.com, it would auto-fill that email address and set the filter to "From matches: sender@domain.com."
- If I selected nine messages with the subject line This is a Really Cool Email, it would auto-fill the Subject and set the filter to "Subject matches: This is a Really Cool Email."
- If I selected three message with the same sender and the same subject, it would give me the choice to filter based on the subject or the sender. (Gmail allows to filter when both match, but Verizon currently doesn't.)
From there, it would redirect to the Filters page (with the beginning of the filter already pre-set) and allow you to choose what to do with those messages.
This is much easier than the current setup, where filters are on a completely different page from the email messages, and require bouncing back and forth between the two in order to make sure filters match exactly.
The title pretty much describes it all. I have an Android an was browsing the Android Market looking for FiOS apps and I came across the Verizon FiOS Digital Voice app. The app was incredible. It integrated with all of my contacts on my phone and it allowed me to do everything that I was able to do via PC. I'd love to see this on the iOS front. I have a couple mobile Apple devices (iPad, iPod Touch) and was disappointed not to see this. Additionally, if you guys do decide to implement this idea can it be integrated into the FiOS Mobile apps. I think it'd be much neater if everything was in one place. Currently you have to download a DVR manager app, and remote app. I don't think we should add on to this. Also I think My Verizon should be fully integrated into the FiOS Mobile apps instead of having to go to m.verizon.com.
Additionally, verizon.net email integration would be cool to add into the Verizon mobile apps. Comcast has all of the features above and it's really neat.
I am the only one who use my computer and accesses my email. The need to continually sign in is annoying. The "remember me for 2 weeks" option does not work. I was told by your phone service rep, that it's because I access my e-mail from my phone and Ipad. This is ridiculous. Let us choose me choose if I want automatic access to email or need to login.
I couldn't find any press release or other indication that Verizon email service has agreed to participate with DMARC to verify that incoming messages purporting to be from participating banks and other companies (such as PayPal) are authentic. Verizon could also participate as a sender of messages since it is possible that its sender domain will be spoofed by phishers. Information about DMARC is here: dmarc.org .
Is Verizon participating in either capacity? If not, does it have an intention to do so? If not, my idea is: PARTICIPATE, and help make email safer for all of us.
Thanks.
The flaw that is addressed in http://www.grc.com/sn/sn-272.htm which is Security Now! with Steve Gibson, Episode 272, recorded October 27, 2010: Firesheep puts a lot of pressure on you to deploy full SSL.
For example by Full SSL, I don't just mean to log-in with. I mean,
#1 The site must allow users to browse & post while using SSL.
#2 For sending and receiving e-mail (it could be by web based e-mail or SMTP/POP OR even an IMAP client on their computer) using SSL.
#3 The site must allow users to browse, pay online while using SSL.
Giving credit where credit is due: http://forums.verizon.com/t5/Verizon-net-Email/Is-
Currently the verizon web mail seems to only use SSL for the login credentials. I get to the SSL login page with URL:
Please improve the web mail so the entire session is SSL encrypted so email can be checked more securely in public.
M.S.
I've notice someone changed the already pathetic design of the email page. My monitor is 9 inches tall and we're given less than 3 1/2 inches of screen to view our emails. Verizon gets 5 inches for their crap. And try finding the 'pay your bill' section.... oops NOT THERE ! The freebie email sites (AOL, MSN,...) give you much more space. Someone needs to be replaced ! If this doesn't get fixed, me and my money are leaving! Anyone Else???
Please implement the ability to filter based on more than on condition.
An example of when this would be useful: That friend/family member that always forwards the chain emails full of animated glittery butterflies/rainbows/puppies with the "forward this to 20 people and you'll get your wish" taglines.
I would like to be able to set up a filter something like this:
If From matches forwarder@annoyingemails.com and Subject contains Fwd: Fwd: Fwd: then send message to Spam.
This means that legitimate emails from that person with real information in them will not be blocked, and multi-forwarded messages from other people will not be blocked.
I have my e-mail forwarded into Outlook Express. However, when I go to the web for my e-mail account, which I do regularly to delete e-mail, I am given a choice to label a message (or several) as "spam." I do so mark a number of e-mails as spam, i.e., anything from {edited for privacy} Marking it as spam should automatically add the ema of the sender into the blocked senders list. Otherwise, it's a multiple step process to add an ema manually.
