I would like the functionality to change channels using the Fios Mobile Remote app when I am not home. My specific need is because I have a family member that has issues using the remote control. I would like to be able to change channels for them when I am at work. There are numerous handicaps/ special needs that would benefit from this 'remote' remote control feature. Access to the 'remote' remote feature could be limited via a setting in the 'Accessibily' menu (if folks have concerns about allowing this) or as part of setting up Mobile Phone Access. Also, having the ability to see if the STB is on, and what channel is currently on would be helpful, so you can verify that the change happened. Thanks.
Why can't the iOS apps let you manage DVR recording series, its just silly that I can create or cancel a series from my iOS devices but I can't manage the features of the series recording like retention, HD or SD, only new episodes, etc. And please, please please, integrate the various iOS apps, I don't think it makes one ounce of sense to make a user switch between 2 or 3 or even 4 different apps just to use/manage FiOS TV service....
Makes no sense to me since the cable channels it streams are so limited, then why can't we have local channels? FOX, ABC, NBC, CBS. Seema like a big miss here.
Please add new Widgets app like redbox instant netflix vudu hbo go max go Hulu Plus i like to have this app on my box
When I first signed up for FIOS the DVR had an app of its own. This was great for me because if was away from home and wanted to record a show I could do so very quickly and easily. But for some reason they rolled the DVR app into the larger FIOS app. Why was this done? It just adds an extra step, not sure why anyone would prefer this. I don't use any of the other features of the new app, so it's a waste to have combined them. Please bring back the old app so customers have the option.
Previous versions had the ability to power on/off the set-top box. The current version is missing this feature.
Create an app that allows Fios tv to be watched via Playstation 3.
Good morning,
A few community members have reported that the Verizon apps on the iPad and iPhone have disappeared from the App Store.
And it seems that as of this morning, the following apps (FiOS Mobile, My FiOS, FiOS Remote and Media Manager) are not available via search in the App Store for iPad and iPhone apps.
I have had these apps installed for awhile on my own home devices, and they have been working fine.
Could you let us know of the status regarding these apps? Perhaps there are updates being made...
Thanks so much!
I have caller ID on my home phone and even on my TV.
But I want caller ID on my iphone MyFIOS app to show a notification of incoming home phone calls WHILE THE HOME PHONE IS RINGING. You offer after-the-fact email notification of incoming calls, but by then it is too late to decide whether i need to answer.
You should know that Comcast, and likely other competitors, offer this functionality in their iphone app.
You call the iphone MyFios app the command center for all FIOS services. But one out of the main three services (home phone) is not accessible at all through this app! This is a mind-boggling oversight! I see that the Android MyFios app offers access to voicemail, so why not the iPhone app?
You should be aware that Comcast, and I'm sure other competitors, offer this function via their smartphone apps.
I should be able to see a nice list of my voicemails and play them, delete them, forward them, etc. from my iphone.
In the 'FiOS Mobile Remote' app for Android devices (on the Google Nexus 7 tablet), the login credentials are not being recognized, and the pairing of the remote on the app with the set top box (in conjunction with the 'FiOS Mobile Remote' TV widget) is not working.
The 'FiOS Mobile Remote' app is also a component of the 'My FiOS' app for Android devices.
The rest of the components of the 'My FiOS' app for Android seem to be working fine.

Thank you!
I would love to have the ability to watch my DVR shows on my PC like I could with Direct TV. Making it easier to see live TV on a PC would be nice also. Thats something Verizon should be trying to do.
I am die hard blackberry user as much as a Verizon FIOS fan. I saw Verizon trying to expand business by reaching out to mobile platforms by developing apps for mobile devices. Hence I would also like similar mobile app for BlackBerry devices. Both Tablet and Smartphones. This will help Verizon even reach greater market segments,. Please consider.
