Perhaps just something I missed. It would be nice if I come across a station I like to have a way to add it to one of the favorite lists directly as I'm watching it rather than having to bring up the menu, navigate to settings, navigate to setting favorites, etc...
We live in Polk county Florida. Through Verizon TV we have programming for Tampa area. But Polk county is closer to Orlando Florida. So we prefer at least one local TV station programming so we can see local news. Please at at least one station from the Orlando area. My other option is to switch to Brighthouse that does offer Orlando Programming.
I've seen it mentioned here in response to several of the idea requests that IMG 1.8 will have the idea incorporated or as a step toward implementing an idea. Or that IMG 1.9 will be going out after that and might address certain ideas. It is great to see this sort of response, but that has me wondering... as the IMG updates are finished and released is there any location that details what exactly they contain? And if not... well, here is the idea: Could you maybe set up an area that shows the update info. I still have IMG 1.7.1 here and It would be nice to see exactly what I have to look forward to when IMG 1.8, 1.9, etc. gets here.
Why couldn't I download a movie from Starz Play to my DirecTV HD/DVR using my wireless Internet connection? This could be a simple to use option that non-techies could take advantage of.
As capacities grow larger and prices come down, it would be nice to see Verizon putting SSDs into their DVR set top boxes. SSDs are less susceptible to physical shock, quieter, have lower access time and latency, and save energy.
It would be so cool if we can choose which game we would like to watch when there is an NFL game on TV. Everyone knows there are multiple games on at the same time on the same channel, but because of where we live, the games broadcasted on our tvs are predetermined. We should be given a list and be able to select which game we would like to view at the given game times. For example:
1PM games on CBS: NYJ vs BUF, TEN vs DEN, BAL vs. PITT. What if I wanted to watch the BAL vs PITT game?? I can't because i live in NY and the Jets game is broadcasted on every TV in NY on CBS.
My point, simply put, is we should be able to view any of the 3 games above at 1PM. We shouldn't be subjected to area games. I know none of the other TV service providers offer this type of customer satisfaction, so what a HUGE PLUS this would be for verizon, because we all know that the NFL draws the most viewers each and every sunday, whether it be on CBS or FOX.
A simple multiple Choice selection type screen would be great to choose which games we would like to watch, would truely make Verizon the best TV provider ever!!!
I use Internet radio a lot while watching sports and really love it.
You guys broke this! When Internet Radio first came out you had a larger video window in the middle of the screen with the banner up top. It was identical to playing music from my PC (via Media Manager). With this new widget you get a smaller video screen on the left… it’s just awkward looking and not as good. I’d rather see more (larger) video and less wasted space. Put it back the way it was – you should be able to fit the info on the right into a banner on the top and enlarge the video.
With the start of the NFL season it was both shocking and infuriating to find out Verizon did not offer any support on Sundays. I purchased the NFL Redzone package and could not get the channel to work. At this point I am so frustrated I am ready to go back to Direct TV. A lot of us watch TV on Sundays, how about some LIVE support!

Can we somehow have static blocks that are not pre-routed, thus giving us more control for deploying a REAL router or firewall on our end for our blocks (Like using a regular firewall instead of forcing us to use a transparent one with the current pre-routed setup). This would be in line with the more traditional T1 approach, and it would please businesses by giving them more control over their IPs.
The FiOS Router supports WPA, but it's not really obvious how to set it up.
Maybe software that helps set up a WPA password/change the SSID instead of being forced to use WEP?
