App for iPhone too

You have the app for iPads with the ability to stream shows while connected to the VZ wifi inside your house. It looks like you just added an Android app that does the same thing. Any chance of an iPhone/iPod app that does the same thing?

Details to follow in the coming months. Thanks for using Idea Exchange.

Why do you keep taking out the information on your movie channels regarding who is in the movies and a brief description of the movie?  It was there, then you took it out, then it was back, now it is out again. This helps me decide if I am going to watch TV or shut it off and read a book.  Too expensive to keep shutting it off.

Plans are in works to include art, cast, crew and other info related to the movie. Thanks for inquiring about this.

Makes no sense to me since the cable channels it streams are so limited, then why can't we have local channels? FOX, ABC, NBC, CBS. Seema like a big miss here.

Today's FIOS Mobile for iPad app, indeed delivers 75 national channels. Good news is that we've got plans in motion to enhance with Locals, so stay tuned...

Manage telephone answering service from the web or downloadable program or app!

It would be great if I can see a list of messages I have on my answering service and quickly listen too them to determine if its important or can be deleted. Rather than staying on the phone waiting for the date and time and phone number and options and its been deleted and a lot of other machine talk.

With FiOS Digital Voice you can manage your calls and voice mail on the web at verizon.com/fiosvoice using your MyVerizon signin credentials. .We also have a mobile app under "Verizon FiOS Digital Voice" for Droids. We hope to have for iOS in the future. You can also modify your FDV voice mail so it doesn't play the time & date for each message and set for expert prompts to shorten prompt verbiage.

Create New Ideas Policy?

Status: In Progress
by ‎08-31-2012 09:39 AM - edited ‎09-01-2012 07:10 AM

Create new Ideas Policy for ideas that are found to be duplicated.

Add the duplicate post as a vote in the appropriate original post when it is marked as a duplicate. Make this mandatory!

When a post is marked as a duplicate, automatically state in the duplicate that a vote was added in the original post. Included a link to original post.

State that the duplicate post has been flagged for removal in X days. Then after a fixed amount of time remove duplicates from the database automatically.

Too many duplicates in the Ideas Forum, with links to the original. So much clutter you can't find the originals.

Hi All- Thanks for the suggestions! We can (and will) implement the idea to get rid of the duplicate ideas- I agree that is clogs things up. The idea to add the votes from duplicate ideas to the original idea is a bit trickier. However, we're looking into it and I can keep you posted if we figure out a way to handle this. thanks, Heather

You have a long list of features (call forwarding, caller id block etc) that you can click on for a description.. but amazingly, the command to invoke these features (such as *72) are just not there!!  Only for *69 because that is the name.  How can it be that you don't have a list of all the star commands available and prominently posted on your support website?!?!

In particular, I was looking for conditional call forwarding.  You call it forwarding when busy/no answer.  Only one of your customer support agents knew what I was talking about after multiple multiple calls and gave me the code (*92).  I found the description of it buried on your website after looking forever... but it didn't give the code (*92)!!

This should be published!!  Actually, you should allow this option in the options page.  it is more useful than the option you do have to forward certain numbers..  REALLY Verizon.

Comcast has voicemail transcription.  Verizon sales people said you have it too but you don't.  So I need to forward my unanswered calls to google voice because they offer the voice transcription.  I finally did it successfully after hours of research because you didn't list the star code!!  Please fix this!!  And teach your agents!!

I have referred this to our Verizon.com programmers to improve the search results to better provide links to the star codes list for both copper and FiOS Digital Voice.

Where is your Pandora?

we know Pandora is not available everywhere. We know what we need to do to finish the deployment. We're in the process of doing it. It has taken a bit longer than we would have liked, but we will be there 'soon'.
The Fios DVR app for motorola xoom should have the same functionality as the iPad app. The android version doesn't support landscape on the xoom, and the remote control doesn't work at all. Also, on the iPad app, you can change channels from the guide. It doesn't work on the xoom. Given the amount of time that's passed, and the amount of money we've invested, it's very surprising to me that we don't have this functionality for the xoom yet.

we are working on improvements to our android apps. because they use different technology than the Apple (iOS) apps, they are on a different timeline.

so instead of marking this acknowledged, would it be more approriate to say it's an item in progress?

Why can't watching tv or DVD on mobile device be available like with Comcast every question says duplicate but no answer

Would it be possible to have the 'television shows' that I already pay a subscription fee for, accessable on all my mobile devices (iPhone, iPad) and at no extra cost?

I want the ability to watch my favorite shows regardless of where I am (at home or out-of-home).

Doable?

We recently announced we will be bringing live Television to the xBox. Probably reasonable to expect more announcements of this type in the future.

Showtime Anytime

Showtime Anytime (showtime's online viewing website, similar to HBO GO) just recently launched but is currently only available for AT&T and Comcast users. When will it be available to Fios users who subscribe to Showtime, just like we have access to HBO GO? Thanks.

https connections in account sensitive areas

Status: In Progress
by macgig on ‎09-19-2011 05:27 AM

think I see why my account was compromised. one possible reason at least.

its' not a secure connection when logged in. all my account info is at  http://www22.verizon.com/

shouldn't that be an https connection? this is my account info, sensitive data... which has been compromised.

without the https, any info I enter, like a password, can be seen/grabbed by someone else. right?

I believe that this change is in progress.
