I have the digital voice phone service in my bundle, which includes voicemail for my home phone. If I miss a call, a light on my phone handset blinks, and a message is displayed telling me "New Voice Mail" so I'm alerted to call and retrieve the message(s).

The vast majority of the "messages" waiting for me are silences because no message has actually been left. It's probably a robocaller that has dialled me (even though my number is on the Do Not Call list) and stayed on the line just long enough to trigger the voicemail recording function at Verizon.

Why can't Verizon's system recognize these false messages and not record them, and not set the "messages waiting" flag on my phone? It is a big time waster. Looking at the caller IDs before calling voicemail isn't a workaround, since most of the callers' IDs say simply "Out of Area" or "Unavailable" or some similar unhelpful information. And this is even though I've blocked anonymous calls (the definition of which is obviously too narrow if all someone has to do is list himself as "Unavailable" to skirt Verizon's technology). Moreover, my caller ID lists "Verizon VM" for half the incoming calls, and that's a time-waster, too.

A few community members have reported that the Verizon apps on the iPad and iPhone have disappeared from the App Store. 

And it seems that as of this morning, the following apps (FiOS Mobile, My FiOS, FiOS Remote and Media Manager) are not available via search in the App Store for iPad and iPhone apps.

I have had these apps installed for awhile on my own home devices, and they have been working fine.  

Could you let us know of the status regarding these apps?  Perhaps there are updates being made...

IF YOU DROP AMC FROM THE CHANNEL LINE UP YOU WILL LOSE MANY LOYAL CUSTOMERS, SO WORK OUT WHATEVER PROBLEMS YOU HAVE WITH THE AMC NETWORK, WITHOUT ANY PRICE INCREASES, DON,T MAKE THE CUSTOMERS LOSE OUT ON GREAT TV.

Hi Verizon,

You have thousands (millions?) of customers in the tri-state area, and we've been hit pretty hard by the hurricane. Many local and national companies have been outstanding citizens by providing relief services and donations to afflicted residents (Time Warner Cable has donated $1M; there are dozens of Duracell charging stations roaming around the city providing free electronic charging for people). I'm curious if you've joined them in providing relief, and if not, I urge you to do so - you have countless loyal customers in this area, and it would be great for you to show your appreciation in a time of need.

The problem

- Pausing VOD times out after approximately 5 minutes

- Stopping VOD provides highly unreliable results when you restart the video - frequently restarting at the beginning

- VOD Fast Forward is only 2x, so advancing to where FIOS lost your position can take 10's of minutes

- Bookmarks work unreliable as a work around

- Resuming the video from My Rentals works unreliable as a work around

Additional background

- Users have been reporting this bug for many months and Verizon employees have indicated a bug fix is coming - for many many months

- My experience is with a CHS435 receiver

The solution

- Make the pause time out at least 20 minutes - pause should consume no bandwidth, if it does it is a design problem

- Make resume *ROCK SOLID* - it should work.  We're talking about storing maybe 30 bytes!

A suggestion

- Consider streaming the video into MYDVR and then having the user play if from that location.  When the user pauses the stream continues, unless they select delete or discontinue download

Final thought

- This is an extremely annoying bug that needs to be addressed.  Many customers have complained and suffered from this bug.  The time has come to just fix it.

Is Fios TV considering adding TWC SN to their local channel lineup.  They will be the sole station for all Laker Basketball Home Games.  Please consider adding TWC SN.  I would be willing to pay a little extra for this service.

Fox Soccer Channel has lost the rights to broadcast football (soccer) games from top European leagues La Liga (Spain) and Serie A (Italy). Al Jazeera Sports Network has won the rights to broadcast those games for the 2012-2013 seasons onward. They will broadcast the games on their sports channels beIN Sports 1 and beIN Sports 2 which are currently not part of your FiOS channel lineup. 

Unless Verizon adds these channels to their FiOS lineup, Verizon customers in North America will be unable to see any games from La Liga and Serie A. The games won't be available online through legal channels either. This means that Verizon customers will have no access to games from such high profile teams such as Real Madrid, Barcelona, AC Milan, etc. 

Please add beIN Sports 1 and beIN Sports 2 to the FiOS channel lineup. 

Modify the text messages sent to notify of a fios voice mail to include the # to call to check your voice mail.

Currently most of your apps only work for android mobile devices.  Is their a reason these apps are not available on adroid tablets as well?

Fox News came out with a new app that allows you to stram fox News Channel and Fox Business Network, similar to ESPN's Watch ESPN app.  Currently Verizon is not one of the TV service providers on this app.  Could you add this service so that FiOS subscribers who also happen to have an iPhone (on the VZW network) could stream these two Fox networks whe way we can stream the ESPN networks?

Please add the Disney Junior channel to FIOS channel line up when it comes out in March 2012.

Please add FOX to onDemand. Why is it not part of it?????  you have cbs,nbc,abc there.  I missed the first week of xfactor so i can never see it????  why? can anyone answer this?
