So i liked the idea of pairing Alexa and Fios, but it quickly soured when my wife would attempt to listen to a podcast on Alexa while I was watching TV, only to have Alexa change the channel instead of serve up the podcast.
We unpaired the device but now when my wife asks Alexa to do something as Im watching TV, Alexa says “im sorry, i cant do that on FIos.”
there is no device for fios anymore but we cant get rid of it. Any suggestions? Thanks!
Have you tried using your phone to disable the FiOS skill?
Sadly, yup. It’s disabled and still says it.
I am having a similar issue where my Alexa devices are assigned to the incorrect FiOS boxes I have searched high and low in the Alexa application on my phone and the Internet as well settings on my FiOS box and cannot figure out how to reassign and change my Alexa echo devices to match the rooms that the corresponding fios boxes are in.
