Verizon Fios Community Redesign

Get ready for the new Verizon digital experience!!! We're pleased to announce the upcoming launch of the newly redesigned Verizon Fios Community on Tuesday, September 6^th.

The Verizon Community has a new look with a modern responsive design, clean lines, and simplified navigation. And while the look is new, the tools remain the same. The new, intuitive design lets you access and search much easier and faster. A sneak peak of the forums.verizon.com page is below so we can highlight some of the new features before the launch. Please note the below screenshot is a mock-up and there may be some slight modifications to the page when we launch:

Here are some of the Benefits:

• New information architecture
• Mobile responsive design
• Modern and richer User Experience with sliders and iconography
• Highlighting high value components (ex. MVP, Content)
• Elements are prominently placed
• Easier to find content with mini browser to frequently visited areas
• Enhanced Search with auto suggestions
• Business intelligence to surface latest solutions
• New Featured Topics area to keep relevant topics at the forefront

No action is needed on your part. This is a notification to inform you of the change. Users should not be affected after the launch.

In exactly four days, Tuesday, 9/6^th, the redesigned Verizon Fios Community will be here! Look for a new simplified user experience with a sleeker, faster, and intuitive responsive interface to enhance the user experience with easier navigation.

Much of the traffic coming into the Verizon Fios Community, comes from Google search results dropping users straight into a topic page. As such, we took that into consideration and made key changes to better orient the user and keep them in the experience by adding the following:

• Welcome messaging (Welcome to the Verizon Fios Community)
• Navigation element (user landed within this structure and there are other places the user can quickly navigate to if this isn’t the area the user needed)
• Related Content Widget (here are some other threads in case the one the user is reading isn’t appropriate for their issue)

This is in addition to the many benefits highlighted in my previous post.
