it is horribly slow here on Long Island as well.  Verizon, thanks for all the hard work after Sandy, but cut us a break on our bills for this.  i can barely stand to use the internet right now on the wired connection, and the wireless on the ipad is e-x-c-r-u-t-i-a-t-i-n-g-l-y slow.

 

I'm on the verizon site now trying to check the speed included in my plan, and have waited 5 minutes for the page to load! https://www22.verizon.com/FORYOURHOME/GOFLOW/MyVerizonNew/AccountReview/UpgradeRenewalCenter.aspx

 

This is unacceptable!
