these two speedtest sites produce different results.

1. speed.verizon.com/speedtest.html

2. my.verizon.com/services/speedtest/

Which one is more accurate?

they should be the same, but I see they appear slightly different.   For me they both gave essentially the same result (but then again I am actually now a former Verizon customer in Florida.)

I see differences at well.

From https://www.verizon.com/speedtest/ (where speed.verizon.com/speedtest.html forwards to), I get:

  • Latency - 9 ms
  • Download - 57.37 Mbps
  • Upload - 63.80 Mbps

From http://my.verizon.com/services/speedtest/ , I get:

  • Latency - 7 ms
  • Download - 58.14 Mbps
  • Upload - 61.60 Mbps

I have 50/50 service, so I can't complain, but I couldn't say which is more accurate. Take the average of the two, perhaps?

I'm guessing that if you run either one moire than once, the results will vary. These appear to be in the realm of variability.

Okay  they have them identified.  They recommend the one at https://www.verizon.com/speedtest/   (speed.verizon.com and speedtest.verizon.com point there)

"This test supports upload and download speeds up to 300 Mbps. To test a faster connection or to use our OOKLA powered speed test, click here"

The other one is recommended for speeds above 300 Mbps and uses Ookla speed test)

Reminds me of the early days of Verizon Internet Quantum speed where the default speedtest couldn't calculate speed above 25 Mbps correctly so you were pointed to a Ookla version.
