2 separate locations for wired connections?

Currently there is 1 quantum gateway router on the ground floor with wired ethernet connection to a desktop.

I'd like to be able to set up another desktop with a wired connection on the second floor and it is not feasible to run ethernet cable all the way up to the second floor from the router.

Is it possible to simply plug in a second router to the coax connection upstairs to get another wired connection (and broaden wifi coverage too)?

I would prefer to keep the wired connections for gaming purposes.

Not a router.

But you can get a WiFi extender that I believe also has an Ethernet port on it as well.

Perfectly possible to use a 2nd MOCA router, but you have to make it not try and connect to the ONT and change some other settings.  Probably best to have the original router hand out ip addresse (DHCP off in second router)
