Access to Verizon Newsgroups

I am unable to determine whether Verizon FiOS Internet still supports Usenet.  I would like to have access to standard newsgroups, and I was under the impression that this access was a part of my newly-installed Triple Play package.  Is it still possible to gain access?

Verizon ended its support for newsgroups and usenet about 2 years ago.

If you want access to NewGroups, you are going to have to subscribe to a service. There are packages out there that start at about $2.50/month from 3rd parties.

I use http://www.newsgroup-binaries.com/ but there are many other commercial news servers out there.

Thanks for the update (and also the FrontPage info).  RIP, I suppose.
