Hi,
I have a (hopefully quick) question regarding my fios router (actiontec mi424wr). Yesterday I telnetted into it and looked up the kernel version. Here is the result:
Wireless Broadband Router> system cat /proc/versionLinux version 2.6.16.14 #2 SMP Fri Oct 29 13:15:55 PDT 2010
Notice the date: 10/29/2010. I have had this device for the last 1.5 years. Does this mean that Verizon has updated the firmware?
Thanks

Thanks for replying, Smith6612.
Is there a way to revert an upgrade? Because the router has been acting very strange in the last several weeks, starting with mid-december. Radio would turn itself off now and then, spontaneous reboots/resets... I even ended up using an old laptop as a wireless AP, to workaround wireless issues.

Why do that ... just call Verizon and tell them that the router keeps resetting itself ... they should send out a replacement.
