Actiontech router won't save blocked security logs

I jsut got a new Fios router and trying to troubleshoot firewall port issue. I checked the the box to log all blocked connections but firewall security log won't show any blocked connection for example I have SSH server and when I try to connect from cell phone (not connected to local netowrk), the log won't show anything about that connection even though I can't connect because I port 22 is not open. If I open the port 22 using port forwarding, I can connect from my cell phone. I need to see the security logs to troubleshoot other issues like connecting to removte VMware machines (PCOIP) but this router's security log and port triggering is not working. Can anyone help? Frontier tech support have no clue about these setting.
