I already have FiOS TV, so I have a router in place; it's just blocked for ourbound 'Net access (except pings, for some reason).
I'm curious: if I want to add 'Net service, does it require a home visit or can it be done remotely? If my router is Net-enabled I don't need any further on-site help (Linux user).
TIA,

they can turn it on remotely.
all the wiring is there, the router is there, it's physically plugged in, they just need to turn it on. there order might not turn it on in two seconds, but it should not require a dispatch.
