Interested in switching to FIOS internet from Cablevision. Is it possible to purchase an additional modem and service plan? My roomate both do video streaming and wish to keep our upload and download speeds seperate.

no, unfortunatly the ONT can only handle one internet service per location (excluding apartment setups). However, if you guys get the 35/35 speed, then even if both of you are streaming videos, you should have more than enough bandwidth to stay out of each others way.
with 35/35 speeds I would find it hard to believe that you would ever step on each other.
