Amazon Fire TV stick wired connection?

I used to have TV/internet but now I only have internet 100/100 with the Gateway router. I want to buy an ethernet adapter for my Amazon Fire TV Stick. My router is in my bedroom with my desktop computer but the TV is in the living room with the ONT box. Can I buy an ethernet cable and connect my Fire TV with an adapter through the ONT?

There is no such setup as you are requesting that I find. Follow the instructions from the links above. You can hook directly to the tv via hdmi or through WiFi from your router.

Sorry my question was not really clear as I really dont know the "lingo". I was refering to this device that allows you to connect an Amazon Fire Stick to the ethernet cable. My question is, do I connect the ethernet cable directly into the ONT . I live in an condo building and my ONT is sitting next to my TV.

No you connect it to a lan port on your router. You then would need an ethernet cable cat5e or 6 (the 7 is hype to get more money) depending how far your router is from your tv you but the length you need to hook the adapter into the router and the ethernet into the stick.

The ONT's Ethernet port won't be live. What will work, is if you move the router to live near your ONT If possible. You can then have the benefit of connecting the router up to the ONT via Ethernet for Internet (this will require a call to Verizon), and being able to wire up your Fire Stick to the network.

Otherwise, you could attach a splitter to the Coax line from your ONT. Then use a MoCA to Ethernet adapter to give your Fire Stick an Ethernet connection. As long as your router lives on the same Coax network (and it should if you have Internet), this will work.
