I've been told that it won't be available in my area until 2011.....If this is true, I guess I'll have to go with cable instead.....Oh well.

I have great news for you!  We reached out to the engineering group in that area and they reported that they are currently already planning the rollout for 2nd quarter of 2010.  So I'm not sure what you're situation is over there, but if you can just hang in there another few months you will be able to experience those blazing FiOS speeds!!!  lol
