BEWARE EXTRA EQUIPMENT RETURN SCAM
lckddisconnect

We moved to a building without FiOS so we disconnected our service and returned the equipment physically to the Verizon store front to avoid some of the other equipment return nightmares we've heard of with FiOS.

When we returned all four TV boxes and the router, the Verizon rep claimed that we were missing a router. We only had one router which was sitting in front of him. Why would we have had two routers in a 1,000 sq. ft. apartment? Plus all of our bills show that we were paying to rent just one router.

The Verizon rep said they'd be billing us for $150 for the missing router. Except now when we try to login to our online account to show that we were only renting one router, our account has been deleted and all we get are error messages. When we called we were told our account doesn't exist.

Somehow I think they'll be able to magically "find" our account when it comes time to bill us for the disappearing extra router that never existed.

Just avoid FiOS all together if you can. If not, keep close tabs on any mysterious equipment that may show up in your home and then disappear when it's time to return it.

Hi lckddisconnect,

Sorry you are having difficulty. An agent with access to your account will reach out to you directly by email, private message in the Forums and/or the billing telephone number on your Verizon account for more information or to help you resolve your issue. Please remember to check your spam/junk folder if you do not hear from an agent.
