The battery is only a backup for the verizon home phone.
If it is beeping try this.
1]Unplug the power cable from the wall outlet.
2]Open the box which is on the wall and beeping.(instructions on the box itself)
3]Unplug the battery.
4]Plug the battery.
5]Close the box.
6]Plug the power cable back on the wall.
If it is still beeping, the battery needs to be replaced. If you had services for more than 1 year, a similar battery can be purchased from any store.
If you had services for less than 1 year, call 1-888-553-1555 and request a replacement battery.
