My backup battery unit starts to beep.  I disconnect it for a few minutes, hours, days.  Re-connect.  All is fine for a few weeks.  Then it starts again.  I've checked the battery and it is not empty.  It is also not very old (less than a year).  I am starting to think the unit might be bad because I don't know what else it could be.

Any ideas?  Yes, i know I can remove it altogether if I don't want it, but I'm not asking for that option right now.

Thank you.

have verizon look at it. cold be defective. 1-800-VERIZON

if you don't want to disable you can just buy a new battery and see if that stops the beeping.
