Battery Backup

So, I finally figured out where that beeping was coming from (after changing out batteries in some smoke detectors) and I guess I need to buy my own battery for Verizon's equipment (unless I get to take it with me when I move, which I doubt).  I searched for "12-volt 7.2 Ah sealed lead acid battery" and get some results, one from a battery "shack" you find at the mall and some other random battery stores.  I searched on another well known online store (think "jungle") and came up with a listing for a a "12-volt 7 Ah sealed lead acid battery with F2 terminal".  There are only three comments on the product page, but two of them say they used them for their Fios boxes and they worked fine.  Does anyone know if the difference between "7.2 Ah" and "7 Ah" is significant?  I believe it is just the battery's capacity.  As long as the voltage and connectors are correct, it should work all the same.  I only ask because the "jungle" battery is about half the price of the other one.

Also, I believe 7200 mAh is the same as 7.2 Ah?  Can anyone confirm?  I am not up on my battery terminology.

mAmp is 1/1000 of an amp so yes providing the size and terminations are correct.

If the price is right, voltage is correct and the size and connection are ok go for the highest rated available as amp/hour measure is a measure of how long a battery will last until drained.  So in the event of a power failure a 15amp/hour battery will last over double the time of a 7 amp/hour.

7200mah=7.2ah, and the difference between 7Ah and 7.2Ah is probably on the same order as the manufacturing tolerances in making the battery. As long as it fits in the box, has the right connectors on it, and is 12V, it is going to work just fine.

The only difference is how long it holds up after the lights go off.. I don't think I have seen anything larger than 8Ah in the form factor however. With a 7ah battery, it is supposed to be able to keep the telephone operating for about 8 hours elapsed time.

The Battery ONLY supports the telephone service, not TV or Internet.

Also most SLA's don't take kindly to being fully discharged, so one or two power outages of more than 8 hours, and your battery is pretty much finished and should be replaced.
