I live in easton ma and for my internet I'm registered as a providence area even though I'm only 25min from boston. What are the fios boston DNS servers so I can bypass this issue.

The East Coast shares a general set of DNS servers, which Verizon assigns to you using the DHCP protocol. What you might be noticing is an error in GeoIP, which often relies on outdated databases especially if a network provider dynamically moves IPs across their network, or has recently shifted around where IPs exist due to equipment upgrades.

Alternatively, if your FiOS service is actually sub-tended out of a central office in Rhode Island, you'll likely show up as being in Rhode Island until the GeoIP databases have updated.

Lots of reasons for this.  Especially as the IP's may be distributed from a center in another area (i.e. Providence) for a large area of Verizon  customes.

And I am in Florida (now Frontier) and reqular am identified as being in the Toronto, Canada area.  More than a few miles away.
