Bridging

I need to know what equipment will work with the Verizon VzMI424WR router to exent service using bridging to another room. The Belkin wireless router I have doesn't work. I want to connect to a Blue-Ray player that doesn't have a wireless card or an ethenet connection available in the room.

I believe the answer you are looking for has more to do with the device on the other end, meaning the one you don't currently have.  See http://www.dvrplayground.com/article/12254/Converting-a-Linksys-WRT54G-GS-Into-An-Ethernet-Bridge/ for an explanation, or try a google search for "WRT54 bridge mode."  Currently I am planning to do the same thing with my recently sidelined Linksys WRT54GL router.  I'll post an update when I have the time to try this.

I'm a little confused, are you trying to set the Belkin to connect wirelessly to the Verizon router?

It sounds like you want to wirelessly connect a remote hub/switch to your fios wireless router??

To do that you would need to get a wireless repeater or a wireless client bridge.  Examples of this device are the dlink DWL-G800AP and Belkin F5D7132 .There are others.

I have no experience with such devices so maybe someone who has can say whether it would do want you want.

I'm currently using a Linksys WET610N wireless Ethernet bridge to stream movies to my TV.  The Verizon VzMI424WR router is located on my third floor and the bridge receives the the signal in the basement, and is wired to the TV with an Ethernet cable. Works like a charm
