It is one or the other. Generally if you have Internet only (no TV), you will get Ethernet, if you have Fios TV you will get Coax.
If you have both Internet and FiOS Tv you will get Coax UNLESS your internet service is faster than 100mbps, in which case
you will get Ethernet, and the Internet access for the STB's will be provided via the MoCA interface on the router.which supports both.

if you don't have tv, it's one or the other.
If you have both then it's one or the other for internet access. they will both be active, but only one is delivering internet access.
you always need the coax active if you have tv

Thanks guys. I have Internet only awnd it was set up with coax to the upstairs office where the router lives. I was wanting to run a cat6 cable from the ont to a 2nd router downstairs to boost the signal. It looks like I will have to run the cable from the router upstairs.
Chris.
