Can't access the Internet via a wireless connection

I have a laptop that boots up to WinXP, it receives a strong connection to the Actiontec router but fails to connect to the Internet.  Checked the SSID & WEP key on both the laptop and router and they are always correct.  The only way I can join the network is to reboot the Actiontec router.  Not to thrilled about having to reboot the router every time, this was never an issue with my previous setup when I was using my Linksys wireless router.

Thanks,

It is possible that the router is defective. They are cheap and not very robust. Make sure that the firmware is up to date. You may need to get a new one from Verizon.

Alternatively, you can use the Actiontec as a gate way and set up your Linksys as the primary router.

Check out this website. It has all the different network configurations, along with the pro's and con's of each set up.
