Cancellation of service

Hi,

 

I had to move back to India And I forgot to cancel my FIOS internet service. I called the customer rep And cancelled the service only after moving. The problem is I still have the router at my home.

 

Can the new tenant to my residence use my equipment ?? They are also using FIOS.

 

What are my options? And worst case how much will I be charged?

i just called the customer service at 1-888-553-1555 (before/ about 11AM 2014/02/27)

confirmed the cancellation of the line phone service & internet service.

 

i asked the rep that how to return and handle the phone plug, router and/or modem etc

the lady told me i donot have to return them and can keep them or whatsoever

or donate them.

 

she said the service will be terminated today and

the last invoice will be sent to us within 40days.

 

one thing she did not tell me is the

Confirmation Number of the Cancellation.

Is it important?

 

overall, the lady rep is very polite and considerate. she is nice.
