If you are using an Actiontec Revision E router on Moca (coax internet) and Windows 7 there is a known conflict that you should know about.
In windows 7 in the "Network and Sharing Center" there is an icon that says "network". If you click on this Icon, Windows 7 will disable the coax connection on the router. You will loose your internet connection. Now its simple to fix. Just reset the router. Now its said that it is a problem with the upnp system and that if you go in and disable upnp it will keep it from happening. But if you do loose connection and you have windows 7, this may be the cause.

That is a problem that was identified at dsl reports a while ago, it is not exclusive to windows 7 and also happens on Vista machines.
