I've got the new, smaller black ONT (installed just about 8 weeks ago) and requesting an upgrade from 100/100 to 150/150 (I have Internet only) is requiring a truck roll.
My own router is connected via ethernet to the ONT.
Why would a truck roll be required, vs. just a speed upgrade back at the office?
That is a good question.
call 1-800-VERIZON and ask them. A simple speed upgrade is normally just a switch to provision. Make sure there is no charge for it.
