DHCP Not working, Assigns bad IP

Currently running Win7. My NIC card connects to the router, however it shows as unidentifyable network and doesn't provide internet access.

When I log into the router, it does not even show this computer connected. Also, its reporting that my local IP is "169.254.6.54" instead of the standard DHCP of 192.168.1.x. I've tried everything from disable/reenable card. Release/renew IP, Resetting TCP/IP.

This is only happening with the one computer, the other devices are working fine.

The 169.254.x.x is not assigned by DHCP. It is an APIPA address assgined by the pc because it could not get an address from DHCP.

Questions......

1. Are you wired or wireless on the PC?

2. Have you made any changes to the router from the default configuration?

3. Have you tried static addressing for the PC in question?

1) If the connection is wireless, the wep key on the pc is incorrect.

2)If it is a wired connection(ethernet), make sure the ethernet cable is connecting from lan ports 1-4 to the pc and not the wan port.

Wireless connection.

The WEP key is correct, I've  had to use it on other wireless devices and they do not  experience this issue.

I have tried using a static IP, but the problem persists.

The router has not been changed from the defaults.

Thanks

Fixed it myself, hard reset on router.
