Disconnect Fee after 2 years of faithful verizon service

I started service with Verizon in December of 2012. I asked the representative if I were to move to an area that did not have FIOS would I be charged a disconnect fee. I have never been use to having a contract for cable/tv service. I renewed my contract in December 2014. I received NO incentives(gift cards) to renew my contract.  Here I am June 2015 moving to an area without FIOS service and I am being charged a disconnect fee. How is that possible after over 2 years of service?

Every time you enter in to a new contract, terms renew.

Doesn't matter how long you have been a customer.

I do agree it is wrong that Customer Service told you that there would be no ETF if you moved before contract was up.

But as always, read the contract to know what you are getting.
