Do I need FiOS router firewall if I have another router firewall?

I have the FiOS actiontec router, but then connect an ASUS router which provides all my wifi and wired needs. The ASUS router has a firewall and so does the FioS router.
Question is whether there is any need to have both firewalls, or can I disable the FiOS one. There is nothing connected to the FiOS router except my ASUS router.
I have been getting some slow responses to random web sites, but really have no idea if it's the two firewalls interfering with each other..
Thank You.

I take it wireless is disabled on the fios router? All its being used for now is to feed everything to your dvr/stb. VOD, widgets, etc. so yes you can disable the firewall on the fios router and just use the one on the asus one since that is the router you are using.
