Hello,
I was trying to return the old router that I had from my previous address. (They gave me a new one when I moved to the new house)
But I didn't receive the return label. Where can I obtain it, and what address do I need to send it to?
I tried calling the return department but I was on hold forever.
I googled and see some people said that they won't want it back, but some people said they do.
Please help..
Thanks,
Sylvia

If they didn't specifically ask for it back, JUST HOLD ON TO IT. You can,and should return it with all the rest of your "Verizon owned" equipment when you close your account.

Think I'd hold onto it as a spare unless they ask for it back, which I don't believe they'd do as they are typically oudated scrap.
You could always use it as a secondary wireless access point in the house.

Whether VZ wants it back depends on the hardware revision level of the router. You didn;t indicate that in your post, so no way to say.
If you want to return it, you can drop it off at a FIOS store or at a UPS store. Hang on to the receipt in case VZ tries to bill you for the old router. They've been known to do that.

As already said it depends on the model that you have. If you have an Actiontec they will proabably want it back, but if its an old Westell they won't.

Thank you to all that responded my question.
I think I have the "MI424WR" router.
Do you think they would want that back? I don't want to get billed 😞
Thanks again!

Read what I posted before. It depends on the hardware revision level of the router.
You can find the hardware revision level of the router on the service tag on the underside of the router.
If it's a rev. F, G or I, VZ probably wants it back.
If it's a rev. E or earlier. VZ probably doesn't want it back.

I just got done with verizon customer service and it was somewhat a nightmare.
On hold with (filipino) operators x 2 for over an hour in which both hung up on me.
Contacted local verizon wireless and begged to speak with a u.s. verizon residential cust serv rep and yes, the older model Actiontec MI424-WR Rev. E is obsolete and does not have to be replaced and you will not be assessed a non-return fee for it.
In fact, i was being billed around $3 a month for extra upkeep on my end because it is an obsolete model. The first two customer service people mildly threatened a $100 or more non return fee of older equipment so that's why i was on hold for so long trying to speak to their supervisor and eventually got hung up on. Very unprofessional.
