Like other posters from New York, my download has become very slow. It is only about 5 mbps today. I am supposed to get around 19. Could not get through to a phone support or Live Chat person.
Note that upload is normal, around 4-5 mbps

I just spent 20 minutes plus waiting for an online chat to tell me "they're experiencing an internal issue that is affecting my area and are looking into it." I'll check it out tomorrow.

I'm on the same boat as you. Looking through the forums it looks like this is a rare problem, but usually is a problem on Verizon's end. All my friends who also hav eFIOS within the areas are having the same issues. I read through some threads and getting new box and router won't fix the problem, just need to wait until it's fixed at Verizon I guess. I wouldn't imagine this taking very long, stuff out in Nassau gets fixed very fast.
