Like many others I want to drop the FIOS television and telephone services and keep only my Internet service from my Triple-Play bundle. Way too expensive for me. I will have to return my rented STB's as well. But I will be able to stream using Roku, Firestick, etc. and get OTA broadcasts through my rooftop VHF antenna.
My question is: will that disable the existing coax connection to my Verizon WiFi Extender in another part of my house? It is currently connected to my Verizon router directly over the Verizon-supplied coax and is auto-configured to represent the house WiFi network. I dont want to use it as a wireless repeater and I dont want to run an Ethernet cable all the way to the router.
Thanks

Shouldn't. Extender is for Internet that you aren't dropping.
I assume you realize that Internet will be more expensive than when it is part of a bundle. Might save overall, but its price will go up.
