I had FIOS Gigabit connected a couple of weeks ago.  We had weak service at the far end of the house.  My old extender could not handle the GB service.  Bought Orbi but it's sitting in kitchen in box YET I now have a _EXT connection available in the far end of the house.  I have no idea where this is coming from.  Is this automatic with the GB service?  I'm confused.

If its still in the box unopened and not connected to a power outlet, it’s probably another persons extender you are picking up in the area.

 

open yours and turn it on and follow instructions to set it up. Then you will know its your service its connected to.
