doesnt matter if he is or not

webmail is always wrong... and the most likelty cause

go to www.verizon.net, login, click email... on the left hand side of the screen is the options/prefrences/settings

in there will be the ioption for time zone

change the drop down to the correct time zone and save it

problem should be resolved.... bro

Many servers run on GMT (Greenwich Mean Time), which is Eastern Daylight Time (EDT) +4, however if you look at the headers on the message (if your email client allows you to), you often find the time stamp contains both a time and time zone.

For example here a couple of timestamps from an email I received. Each server that handled the message puts a time stamp on it.

Received: by 10.115.98.14 with SMTP id a14mt429907wam.1.1255069952961; Thu,08 Oct 2009 23:32:32 -0700 (PDT)

Date: Fri, 09 Oct 2009 06:32:32 +0000

Here you can see that one server has stamped the message at 23:32:32 -0700, or GMT-7 hours (which is Pacific Daylight Time), while another has used GMT (+0000)

Go Bob!  ^What he said.^

Slight addition, the link to get to your settings may just say "General" and be just above the link for "Mail" settings.
