I have quite a length of fiber outside my exterior mounted ONT.
No extra protection for it.

Then your installer was lazy. The guy I helped install ours wrapped it all up inside the ont. It’s an Alcatel (old grey box) nothing is exposed, absolutely nothing.
There should be no loose fiber optics to be seen.

No room inside my ont enclosure.
And fiber needs a fairly large bend radius.

Ah ha I understand. It’s a shame the fiber was not shrink wrapped to give added protection.
