FIOS Availability

There is FIOS within 100 feet of my house and has been for 3 years. I have called many times to get FIOS in our small community and keep getting the run around by each department blaming it on another department or transferring me to another number. The latest is "it is Engineering departments call, I left them a message to have them call you." What do I need to do?

One thing you might do is have your neighbors in that community go online and inquire about FIOS.  Why?

Verizon is a business.  Their goal is to make money.  Like any business, before expanding they will evaluate the benefit of that expansion.  To you it's only 100 feet. To them that 100 feet is a cost that must be recouped.  Which includes the allocation of resources to extend the line. Will the additonal customer base justify that cost? One customer, probably not. The more potential customers, the more likely they are to do it. So get your neighbors to indicate an interest in FIOS and you might get a faster response.

..........it does not work.  We have 23 houses on our street and at least 14 owners said they would change/upgrade to Fios if it became available.  Verizon does not listen to us and we are so upset that they hold the contract for the city preventing other companies from coming in and providing service and compete with Verizon.

We are basicly slaves to poor/low internet speeds and Verizon refuses to bring in the cable for some unknown reason.
