My FIOS internet worked perfectly for years. Suddenly, internet began cutting out - both ethernet and wifi. Had to perform a hard reboot. Same problem. Verizon replaced router. Same problem. I performed a factory reset. Same problem. I think there must be a setting that I'm missing. Any ideas as to how to fix this problem?

It might be a bad ONT is the router has been replaced. I would make an appointment to have Verizon come out an change the ONT. Just be prepared to help the tech out because they are not coming in the house due to Covid-19.
