I am tired of Comcast and want Fios, When will we see FIOS in Northern Illinois. I am in a Verizon communication area but DSL is too slow for us.

In a nutshell:  Never.  Verizon is in the process of selling and handing over It's midwest holdings to Frontier.net.  Frontier is going over $3.2 BILLION into debt for this, so I can't see there being any kind of infrastructure upgrades like FTTP (Fibre To The Premises, like FIOS) for a very long time.
