FIOS or lack thereof

Been waiting for Fios for 10 years, live right outside a major city, not the boondocks.  Constantly get harrassed by Verizon to upgrade to FIOS and then constantly told it isn't available in my area.

So what are you asking? The Fios buildout is done.

They're asking for FiOS, like many others are. I'm in the same boat, however I've been on the waiting list since the word FiOS was a thing (2004). I still maintain a DSL Connection at home, but I have moved onto Cable Internet. Verizon stopped FiOS a block away from me, in the same wire center, town, and genera neighborhood.

Sorry to say, but it's not being expanded at all.  Wish I could get it too, but it will not happen.

They are doing very limited expansion, mostly cherry picked areas.

Mixed blessing. On one hand it is a good service when it works and will create competition in your area. On the other hand, Verizon will raise prices and aggravate you in many ways with poor customer service. Wish I had Google Fiber in my area.
